[Chrysler300] 61 Grille

Hi guys,
The difference betwen the 61 and 62 grille surround is the 61 has CHRYSLER across the top. Do ALL 61 Chryslers have this or is it only select models? A friend of mine recently bought a black 61 Newport Convertible and its grille does not have Chrysler on it. It has the horizontal slats but no CHRYSLER. I don't know the production date of the car. The seller told him that the grill is original.
