Way back in the 70's sometime, when we were trying to MERGE the two clubs, I had found some tail light lenses. Glo-Brite was a division of of Dietz, a company that had it made for years making railroad lanterns and traffic lights. They had a warehouse close and loaded all the remaining stock into skid boxes and auctioned. A local entrapennuer had bought them for his "Junque Shop" and put them on sale at $ .25 each. There were four or five 4' X 4' x 4' skid boxes FULL of mixed tail lights. Harry Ewert and I crawled thru them and got about 100 sets of '57 tail light sets, mostly in yellow boxes. I called Paul Dietz (fellow grad of Parsons) and got skinny on why they were there. We offered a deal to BOTH 300 clubs for 30 or 40 sets each, at a price of ( I belive) $ 1.00 a PAIR. The rest is history. The remains of them we retained. I still have about 10 pair! The warehouse cleaned out was a supply house for Western Auto. L.
