Re: [Chrysler300] 300D Vibration

I have had the unfortunate experience of buying Cooper tires for my daily
driver a '93 Chrysler LeBaron. I bought 4 new tires if I remember
correctly. All but one failed prematurely. I think if I remember
correctly it was due to getting bulges in the sidewall and I think one blew
out mysteriously. This is all with excellent tread on them still. I went
back to where I bought them but they were no longer selling Cooper
tires. They did adjust the first one that failed when they sold me another
tire. After that they didn't not want to do anything. This was maybe 3
years ago.

Anyway I think Cooper tires are the worst tires I have ever bought. You
could not give them to me. I am just lucky that I did not have any
accidents etc. because of their failure. I have had many used tires that
lasted way longer than my new Cooper tires did and were a much better
value. I sure would not put a Cooper tire on something valuable like a 300
lettercar.

Be careful because I have had the experience of a tire failure really
making a mess of the fender on a '64 Imperial. The steel belt came lose on
the highway and stuck out of the tire and starting beating on the
fender. Really messed it up and the fender was perfect before that happened.

Nancy Kramer
