In my case, it involves sanding, priming and repainting. I have color sanded, buffed, polished, all to no avail, the paint is still stained and won't accept a sheen. This car sat with the back half out from under shelter and under trees for about 10 years as part of a divorce settlement. I think a child became problematic and was sent back to Daddy, part of that exchange was the 300 D going back too. He then sold it to me. So far I have welded new metal into the front seat recesses that really hold water well till they rust out. Also patched a couple of small holes in the floor and one small hole in the trunk floor. Freed the frozen power windows. Have a small hole in the rear deck and a couple of small spots in the rear wheel arches yet to do. Still have to lift the car and completely strip underneath to check for any problems. So far the car is amazingly solid for all it's been through.
