Hi Mike,

I had the opposite problem when I put my 300 in storage for 5 months.
I had to back it into a narrow space in a barn and then put the trans in neutral and the park lever in PARK.  When I started it up in the Spring, the 300 wanted to initially go in reverse even though the push button selector was in DRIVE.  After a few minutes, it warmed up and went forward.
I just assumed that the trans somehow 'remembers' the last moving position, in my case, REVERSE even though it was stored in PARK and the NEUTRAL button was pushed.

Perhaps something sticks until it is warmed up and then moves to the correct position?

The last three times I've gotten my "F" out, the transmission is not going into Reverse gear -- until after the car has run for 2-3 minutes. Nothing happens when Reverse is selected -- no noise, nothing. Drive works normally.

After a couple of minutes, or more, if Reverse functions normally, and does for the rest of the day. It sits for a week or more between uses.

I've checked the fluid with it running and warmed up, seems to be right at the full mark. If it were a vacuum problem, it would affect Drive, I would think, and wouldn't go away after it has run for a few minutes.

Anyone else ever experienced this? Any suggestions/ ideas as to what is causing this?
