Hi all I am trying to figure date codes on speedos to car build dates and why some 300's had factory installed 120mph units also if there is any pattern to it. I'm not convinced by "the factory ran out of 150's". Would any of you be able to get the date code off the back of your 300C or D speedometer if you believe it is the original factory installed unit, it is just above where the cable enters the rear of the speedo head. It is hard, but possible with a good light, to get to when in place. It should read something like 57 2L ...hopefully some of you have them out for restoration. The other catch is I need the build date of the car. Of particular interest would be any 300's that are believed to have come with a factory installed 120mph speedo. The more participants the more accurate the results will be. Thanks for the help.
