I'm looking into the possibility of a project to reproduce a small quantity of the plastic armrest bases for the '57C (are the D and E perhaps the same as the C?) I don't know if a lot of you others have the same problem, but my pair look roller-coastered like they were put in an oven. And the screws were pulled right through on the drivers side. I'm obviously not going to do it unless there would be enough interest out there to justify a tooling and run cost, but I am in the middle of auto supplier country and think I may be able to accomplish this at some reasonable cost, if we can use up something like 100 pairs or so. Is my problem unique or is it universal? Would enough of you be interested in buying these to make it worthwhile? Would it be worth, say, $150-200 a pair if they were done well? I'd like to hear what you think. Or is this something the club may be interested in taking on?
