Hello Group, To those of you that might have an interest in the 1963 Chrysler Crown 4-door hardtop that I asked about last week, it sold in an auction this morning and here's the update. The 80-plus year old original owner (all paperwork available) was selling it because he went bankrupt due to medical expenses. The car was close to perfect -- no rust, no dents, ( I think the mufflers were original), the interior was like new with carpet protectors, and it had been serviced and driven every year (with records). It had PS, PB, tinted glass, rear speaker, and door edge protectors -- that's it. It sold for $19,500 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From the pictures I believe it's a Crown 4-door hardtop. One can see the limited photos at: rgilliganauctions.com. There's a local auction this weekend with a 1963 Chrysler Imperial with 17,000 original miles. I plan to go look at it, and from the pictures it looks great. I've been trying on line to get a price estimate, but so far have not succeeded in doing so. I would appreciate all responses as to its value. So far my information is $6000-10,000. I am going to go look at it, and if it is as nice as the pictures, I may bid. Let me know. Thanks, Al ________________________________ From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bob Jasinski [rpjasin@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, December 07, 2009 11:16 AM To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [Chrysler300] Wingnuts for G's John, Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall seeing a list response to your question. Could you share with the list the consensus for correct wing nut types on the G air cleaners? Thanks! (Open topped vs. solid wingnuts) If all 4 were the same, were they open topped ones or solid.? If there were two different ones on each cleaner, which position on the cleaner was open topped and which one was closed (solid) topped.? Thank you, John Cote Guilford, CT.
