Rich and All:
The last several C300s were all scheduled to be built June 7, 1955.   Not all build dates nor shipping dates are legible, but those last cars that can be read were all built on June 15th. The next to the last car on the microfilm was shipped 6/22/55.
3N55 2724 does exist.
I do not show Don Petty as a previous owner of 2716, but I may just not have info that far back.

I read that as the fifth from the last of the C-300's.  Last one= 3N552725?
 have a record that Don Petty had 3N552716 at one time.  Any other 55's out
here with later VIN's?
