[Chrysler300] Our Club

Hi All, I'd like to put forth an idea. I attended the 1st Don Garlits Mopar Meet back in the late 80's with a 300F I owned at the time, its was super but not like todays meets which draw cars from all over the country & afar. Some of us have come home with the special trophy from this event which shows the recognition from our Mopar peers, which to me means more than just an ordinary all kinds of car meet. 300 Letter cars stand out at any show and are able to repeat this unique feat at the best Mopar Meet in the world, Don Garlits, some may dispute this opinion. I know that since 2007 club members have won at Garlits each year, to include myself in 07 & 08, George Clineman, Stan Arthur, Gil Cunningham, Dr Broxterman & perhaps more I'm not aware of. Don Garlits told me when he posed for a picture of us with my 300F that "These were the cars that made me" I was the only Letter car that day in attendance. So, how about a designation in our roster noting all Don Garlits trophy winners, a great addition to any owners history, & following the WPC clubs annual photo meet we have our own annual photo meet & choose the top 3 with a special certificate from our club to designate the recognition. This would be fun & something special we can do for ourselves & our cars. I volunteer to help co-ordinate we will need the expertise of Bob Merritt to post photos, Thanks Bob !! & anyone else who wishes to dig in. We can never all get together at once, wish we could, but this event would get us all the opportunity to show our stuff together. Since I have joined this club I have enjoyed my Letter Car in a much more gratifying way & appreciate being a club member in this special niche of automotive enthusiasim. So lets hear some feedback on this & see what goes, Mac in getting warmer Sanford Fla.
