[Chrysler300] members passing

Earlier this week club member Walter Beesley of Maine passed away
in his sleep. A member since 1995, Walter owned a J and an H and  had previously owned a ram K convertible which, if memory serves, he brought to Don Verity's Newport meet in 2002. 

I remember having lunch with Walter in 2004 at Doug Mayer's Maine meet. His knowledge of the old car hobby was impressive and I remember his willingness to help others with parts and information. When our own George Riehl damaged his J in the parking lot in Maine, Walter supplied a spare transmission and differential. Walter, famous for his sense of humor, commented "I'll do whatever I need to do to get George out of Maine."

I happened to ask Walter how he came by his email id of "grampgator". He related a delightful story how his young grand daughter called him that when he returned from Florida with a present for her -- a toy alligator doll. Funny the things you remember about someone.
