To All, Take a 2-2 1/2 foot long and 3" wide piece of metal or aluminum and bend it the long way so you have a shallow trough. Put the edge of the trough on the master cylinder, with the other end sticking out over the fender. Pour the fluid down the trough and you can watch the fluid level go up as you pour. Very easy. Make sure you cover the fender with a rag so you don't drip fluid on your new paint! But they are really expensive for one person to buy -- four of them minimum order. My "F" doesn't have a bellows-type brake booster, but the master cylinder is almost right up to the tank. My method: - use a ketchup-type squeeze bottle (like what one would carry to a picnic, etc.) - loosen the cap bolt (by feel, of course!) - slide the cap -- with bolt still in it -- towards the center of the car - squeeze some fluid in -- remove the bottle and check the level - repeat last step as necessary This procedure works well, and reduces the chance of spilling brake fluid on anything to almost zilch. Is there some secret to adding brake fluid without removing the power brake booster unit over the top of the master cylinder?
