RE: [Chrysler300] Freeze out plug

They are intended for the stepped holes, but by turning the flange around so
that the flat side (versus the stepped side) tightens to the block from the
inside, everything works very well. There is an outer lip that prevents it
from going in and through the freeze plus hole, so that when it is
tightened, you have a perfect seal.

They said those were for stepped freeze plug
holes. The B/RB engines just have plain holes,
did they still work ok? Do the plugs have a
flange to keep them from going in too far?

I never had a problem with my RB engines,I use
hardening Permatex, but I do dread trying to
install the dished plugs in my 392. I have heard
a lot of horror stories about them popping out.
