Mark; In using champion plugs if you result in having a non firing or rough running -its the crummy champion Plugs. I spent days trying to get my 62 Sport 300 to start and then couldn't get a smooth running - went through too sets of new Champion plugs. Put in a set of AC and car started right up and ran great! Turns out that the measured resistance between the end and electrode tip, in the Champion sets, varied from from zero to 130 ohms. The new AC plugs all measured about 25 ohms. From this experience and reading similar experiences with Champion plugs, on the Dodge Shelby lister site, - I no longer will use champion plugs.
