[Chrysler300] 300 modern trans oil substitute question?

Sorry if this has been covered recently, but here (Australia) easiest available Cast iron torqueflight transmission oil seems to Dexron III equivalent, but I am not sure if this is suitable.?! I remember a few years back the site warning the Cast iron torqueflights used in early 300s would burn out their clutches fast if the more slippery Dexron II was used, and they required an ATF type.  DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE IS DEXRON III a correct replacement for the now harder to find ATF type - ie will Dexron III not ruuin your clutch life !??

PS - if you do the battery connection loose enough to twist it off as needed - REMEMBER THEN NOT TO WIPE YOUR HAND ON YOUR CLOTHES, as battery acid may be on your hand and will eat the material/clothes. O/wise it is a great safety idea to leave end just loose enough, as long as it tight enough to not come free when not wanted.
