I had a problem with leaking on my Australian hemi 6 exhaust manifold. Similar to a slant six but probably a bit longer. They bend like a banana, particularly near the hot end at number six where the port overlap was a good eighth of an inch . I was in a hurry to get the car going again and could be bothered to get the manifolds machined (on 4 surfaces since they bolt together as well). I just used two gaskets instead of the original one and a bit of filing on the rear port. Hasn't leaked again. For a V8, I would get the face machined, but if you are in a hurry.... While removeing the manifold tht bolt hole broke off the end of the manifold. Does anyone have a spare driverside ex. manifold casting ,for a 413 crossram??? I have it at the welders, now to try to fix it , but would like to have a good one as a spare, in case the weld does not work out. I had Felpro and a summit all copper gaskets and all leaked some.
