Mike: The same thing happened to my 2005 300C.  I went to the dealer and was told I'd have to buy a totally new mirror at more than $500.  I looked online and found several suppliers.  I ordered the glass and the mirror was a perfect fit for about $25 incl shipping...I just popped the trim ring off of the old mirror, then used a screwdriver to "peel" the old mirror off of the glue that held it to the frame, cleaned off the old glue and used the adhesive that came with the new mirror to put it back on.  In retrospect, I could have removed only the delaminated portion of the old mirror, cleaned off the goo that was sandwiched in between the two pieces of glass and used silicone to attach the new mirror to the old base section where the heater was.  As it was, I didn't purchase a new heating element so my mirror is not heated now. (heating elements are also available at the website below).  After I was done, I replaced the trim ring and it looks very good without that annoying fog color of the "auto-dimming" mirror. (The new one doesn't dim when headlights come up from behind like the old one did but I never felt that worked well anyway.)
