Hello guys, I have just finished making the mould for the 57/58 steering wheel and will start casting them directly ( 2 piece with the colours in the resin like factory ) I have nailed down the Desert Biege for the top of the 57 after a lot of experimenting, I did this from a section cut from an original 300 wheel down at the steel core area. I have done the same on 3 wheels and the colour is the same on each, so I am happy that the discolouring from the sun has not affected the inner material I used to match from. Ok here is my next problem, from the pictures I have seen I have serious doughts that the 58 300 D wheel used this same colour on the main body, so to get it right I am hoping someone will have an old ruined 1958 300D wheel they can send me a chunk from ( the main body ) for a proper colour match. Can anyone help? regards George.
