The 300H was the first American car to have front seat belts as standard equipment. This was a running change-----probably before January. A word about the Swivel Seats. The 1960 Chrysler Car Specification Schedule (Car Order Sheet) shows two versions of the swivel seat. Code 472 is the Custom Swivel Seat, available on all except the 2 seat wagon and STANDARD on the 300F. Code 473 is the Automatic Swivel Seat, NOT AVAILABLE on the 2 seat wagon AND 300F. The automatic swivel seat was a new feature for 1960, according to the 1960 Chrysler styling and engineering features book. I cannot speak for the other 1960 Mopars, as I don't have the same kind of info on them. 300ly, Gil Cunningham In a message dated 8/15/2010 9:45:38 P.M. Several accidents occurred and people were thrown from the vehicles. Chrysler recalled the feature and disconnected the cables during the model year. My reference was John Hertog.
