PJ, Just curious, on the '56 Imperial, did the dealer put on the extra box like air shroud behindthe radiator that came with factory units to improve cooling on the A/Ccars? Could be a way to help differentiate between factory and dealer installs if the A/C unit is NOT on the hump and in the trunk. On the other hand, I don't know if a dealer would have been able to install the "factory in the trunk unit". It had factory a/c and DID not have the rear side vents. I also now have a 56 Imperial that has a dealer installed Chrysler Airtemp a/c unit on the hump, the compressor looks like a OE unit.
