Hi Doug, My H is about 70 miles away but I noticed the same thing this summer while working on the floor. At first too I thought someone had done a pretty crude job changing the rear seat attachment brackets. Then I assumed that with the few H interiors that were put together it probably was cheaper to just modify the normal bench seat attachments. I panicked! Did I have a clone? After rechecking all the numbers, I confirmed that the body is correct. The original brackets were for a bench rear seat. I am assuming that all 2 door hardtops came down the assembly line set up for rear bench seats and that H interiors then had the brackets changed to accommodate bucket seats. Can anyone confirm this? Underneath the carpet pad, I found a 3"x 6" red color plate with a paper tag: 1962 "S" Series C-8580-ES Imperial - Chrysler E23N043 - B - 154026 Caramel Enamel PART NO. 2178166 May 10, 1961 from the COLOR STUDIOS of RINSHED-MASON Company Also found a Wrigley Spearmint gum wrapper, headliner trimmings and an assortment of fasteners.
