[Chrysler300] C300 heater & defroster switches

My defroster switch has no low speed function. I have an NOS heater switch. There is a ceramic thing that I guess is a resister on each switch. It's smaller on the defroster switch. Other than that they seem to be identical. My question is: what if any issues will I run into if I use a heater switch on the defroster motor? I don't have a parts book which might solve this for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated....and "THANKS" to all who recently helped me with the trunk lid padding issue....Bill
