I had the exhaust on my C-300 redone and regret not being more insistent for originality. The old muffler guy made an excellent installation but I let him make the header pipes out of single lengths rather than with a clamped joint. He also did not integrate the supports sticking out from the automatic transmission which are there to receive intermediate support brackets for the header pipes and take stress off the exhaust manifolds. I wanted to hear that brute talk, so I had him install 3-chamber Flowmaster mufflers which talk, but don't scream. Aluminized steel throughout, so should last another 20-30 years. If I had it to do over again, I'd have a vendor make the mufflers with original exterior dimensions and less choking and baffling inside. You may want to start shopping for proper clamps and hangers as your local muffler shop will not have Chrysler original style devices. Finally, remember to get a pair of the oval exhaust tip extensions. With your "B", I believe there was a racing option which included larger OD pipes. 3"? Any recommendations for a good exhaust system for a 300B? It's difficult to get back to "original" style so are there any recommendations for a great flowing, yet relatively quiet and nice deep sounding muffler for these cars? 300ly, Mark [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] _____ No virus found in this message.
