Bill:
I recently installed a pair of Polk Audio 6 1/4" speakers in the doors of my '02
B4C Camaro. They are pretty compact and feature both bass and high range
capability. They sound terrific. Don't know if they will work for you 300
application, but if they would fit the enclosure you menetioned. I think you
will be impressed.
Also, you might talk to the folks at Crutchfield (I bought my speakers from
them) about your problem. Chances are they have run into your situation before.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Speakers
Howdy,
Getting ready to put some sounds in the 1970 Chrysler 300 vert. The
AM radio has a DIN I dash opening, so I am considering either a
modern player in the dash or a hidden audio in the trunk until I can
afford to have the OEM radio converted to modern innards. I really
don't want to cut up the kick panels or the door panels (especially
the door panels) so am trying to find a good place to mount
speakers. Don't think there will be much room under the dash, I am
getting ready to install A/C so don't really have a handle on the
space, but it looks tight. There is no package shelf, being a
convertible. There is a small space a few inches across and about
9" tall to the outside of the forward sides of the back seat, both
sides. I could fashion a form fitting enclosure for small
speakers. This is no ghetto sound machine, but I wouldn't be adverse
to putting a small sub woofer in the trunk to take care of the base
if the front speakers don't cut it.
Anyone have any experience with these sort of limitations?
Thanks,
Bill Huff
