When I ordered a new fuel tank sending unit I was asked whether there was a terminal post on the face of the unit, or if the wire actually passed right through the face and was sort of epoxied there. Apparently the incorrect signal will be sent if you buy the wrong one. I called and asked the body shop where the car was about it and was told the wire ran through the face. So I ordered that one. Now the new harness that I got from Greg Legatt appears to be terminated for a post on the sending unit. And also my old wire harness seems to be set up for that as well. Maybe I'm looking at something incorrectly here, but before I load the new tank with fuel I want to be sure about this sending unit. Which one is correct? Excuse me, I meant to say this is on a '57 C. Thank you, folks.
