Thanks to all who responded to my distributor cap question. Doug Warrener got me going in the right direction. Thanks Doug. The problem I had was with the rotor; while changing the cap I had bumped the rotor so that it was not seated on the shaft. That in turn caused the magnet for the Petronix sensor to become loose and would rotate +/- 10 degrees off center. So then, the timing was off depending on where the magnet would be. Seating the rotor fixed my problem. The car runs great now.
