[Chrysler300] OT - Transport

My brother in law just purchased an old Montessa dirt bike, 247 
cc.  The bike is in La Mesa, CA, he is in Pensacola, FL.

He is looking for a better (read cheaper) way to get it to either 
Pensacola or N.O. LA, where he works.  It was an ebay purchase and 
the best estimate he has gotten so far is around $600 from the 
recommended shippers.

Anyone have any better sources or know of someone moving around that 
has a few cubic feet of space available?
