Hi all: For what it is worth, I have been using a product called FRIGC FR-12 in my F since 1996 and it works every bit as good as R-12. It is a combination of R-134A and other gases. It is a drop in for R-12 and exhibits the same cooling curve as R-12. I have no idea what it costs now. I purchased a 30# canister in 1996 for $280. You can find out more about this refrigerant if you Google FRIGC FR-12. Good luck.
