Re: [Chrysler300] Power steering and windshield washer questions (300D)

Hello.
I'would have checked the wiper swich for bad ground. Paint that insulates the switch from the ground in the dashboard. I believe that also will influence the foot switch, and the parking cycle. Switch of, and the wiper motor is supposed to go in reverse in order to park the wipers. Will not do that if the switch have bad ground connection.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Power steering and windshield washer questions (300D)

I'm was hoping someone has run into either of these situations before as we're getting close to finishing the 300D after 45 years of being a pile of parts.

when the car is started the power steering spins the wheels all the way to one side and stays there. The original box was tight (as the car had only 40K on it), so just a couple of the outer seals were replaced and it was put back in. Does anyone have any suggestions short of taking the steering box back out of the car to have it torn down?

on the windshield washer foot pump...when hooked up the wipers no longer have variable speed and do not park properly. The pump also does not seem to acutate the wash cycle either. so after trying a couple of switches and motors, my conclusion is something in the pump switch is defective. Any thoughts?

  Thanks!
