Hi all in 300 land, I have had to remove and replace my turn cancel switch in my 300F and I am hoping someone can tell me about the spring loaded brass switch with brass wheel with single wire. It presumably is activated by a cam on the inner steering column. Is anyone able to say what is its function? It does not appear to play any role in the turn indicator function but I might be wrong about that. Also, my damaged cancel switch seems to have a shortened (probably broken or worn) the "toggle" lever which activates the brass contacts inside the cancel switch. I am concerned to avoid damaging the toggle lever when I instal my new cancel switch. Is there anything that I should be wary of when I instal it? For example, should the steering wheel be in any particular position? Anything else that I should know for the installation. Grateful for any assistance.
