Hi Paul, The cables are attached to the mirror glass, so they don't need to be removed from that end. They can be removed from the other end quite easily. They are color coded from the factory, but it may have worn off over time, so mark them for re-assembly. There are two screws under the mirror head that separate the body from the head. You can then fish the cables through the base and tube. There is one more screw on the back of the head. When this is removed, you can slide the glass out of the head, and everything will be ready for plating. Is there a good way to remove the three cables that attach to the mirror and be able to reattach them after plating?
