Hi Travis, Some will tell you that no heat to the carbs will not matter but, in fact, being outboard from the engine heat you will get pooling of gas. But, the biggest problem will be that you are removing the crossram supports. There are ways to support the rams from the headers. I have some pictures on how others have done it if you need, ask. If you are installing J/K headers there is a threaded stud to attach to and you will need the lower braces because of the cast iron weight. Without support, the crossrams could crack from vibration.
