Re: [Chrysler300] 300D Interior Panels -

Hello, everyone:

I have four of those happy little screws (with finishing washers) on my E. Each
door panel has two - front and rear, just under the roll at the top and near the
edges of the panels. The car came from the factory with these.

Best,

Josh and All:
Something told me to have a look at the 300D sales brochure. If one looks
, just under the top curveat the picture of the instrument panel, one will also
see a happy little

screw dutifully helping to hold the front corner of the door trim panel
secure.

Greetings,

That is 100% factory. The 300D Daytona car was built for racing and never
went to a dealer, so it wasn't a dealer's work.

The Bonneville race car was built on the same day as the Daytona race car
(Valentines Day...Feb 14th, 1958). Both cars were sold internally by
Chrysler Manufacturing to another arm of Chrysler (Either Public Relations or
Engineering... most likely PR), then one car was sold to the driver (Daytona)
and one car was given to it's driver(Bonneville). Both bypassed the
dealers completely.

At the time of your photo both cars were low-mile unrestored. Both cars
matched identically. I think it is safe to say that they are both factory.

Hope that helps.

Josh
