Hi Ron,

I needed to replace my gas tank pad, so I used an old burlap bag that was in my garage.  I cut the burlap bag and so far so good.  Any material that will not retain water would probably work.

I am looking for a suitable replacement pad that goes between the top of the gas 

tank and the trunk floor pan of a 1964 Chrysler. I have the original but it 

falling apart. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
