That's sad news Jay. I for one (and being new at this) do not have any restoration horror stories, but I would be most interested in hearing more details on yours. Perhaps it would help newbies like me avoid the pitfalls that apparently befell you. Also, I'm not sure you are allowed to say this on the Forum, but I would be curious as to which shop you used. Just like the discussion on insurance companies or shippers, I think it is very helpful to get reports on particularly good shops, as well as ones that one of our group has had a bad experience with. I think we all understand that one bad experience does not necessarily mean a shop is horrible, but if one or two people should chime in with their own bad report, it might be helpful to know. I've read some reports like that on the Imperial Forum, so I guess there is at least some precedent. Anyway, I would be interested in anything you feel comfortable sharing.
