Re: [Chrysler300] 300G Air filter

All:
Ok, I have to take back the "fits perfectly" part of my last email. Just
put the element back in, and I had forgotten it is apparently a little
smaller in overall diameter. One has to "center" it a bit, before putting the
cover on. Still works great, though.

The air cleaner element that perfectly fits the 300F, G, J, and ram K is
available from NAPA. It is "NAPA GOLD" number 2083. I paid $13.96 for
two
of them in 2009. (Finally found my receipt or I would have responded
sooner----couldn't read the number stamped on the part itself.) Made in
USA
too.

Niels & All,

I think Terry McTaggart recommended years ago to used the aftermarket
Deutsch A 138 filter as an alternate. It is about a 1/2" smaller in
diameter &
about a 1/4" shorter in height then the old Purolator AFP 44 I took out
of
my G air cleaner. The box says it also replaces Fram CA3649, Purolator
AF
3382 & AC A824C so they must be of similar size but I have no knowledge
of
them.

Hello group,
thank you very much to all who tried to help me to get the air filters
for
my 300G.
It is a special size but what a surprise: Today I got 4 pieces (old
ones,

NOS) from
a spare part dealer just 10 miles away from my home.

Lucky man.
Regards, Niels

I got mine from either NAPA or Auto Value and if not exact size they are

too close to measure. Not at home at the moment so can't give you the
part
number. They were less then $15 each.
