I've done the same thing with some of the horns on my cars with success. The best lubricant product I've ever used is Gibbs http://www.gibbsbrandlubricant.com/ ; More expensive and not available over the counter to my knowledge but once you use it you'll never go back to any previously used product such as WD40. Not high tech. Others have reported filling the horns with rust remover of WD-40, letting them soak for a week, emptying out and good to go. They do make a wonderful blast when working correctly! Or, does anyone know of someone who repairs the ones that I've got?
