Re: [Chrysler300] "F" trunk weatherstrip

Is it possible the the strip needs to be this way to keep it from loosing form after being closed for some time. Like the original did , promoting leaking into the trunk (remember)?
My 61 trunk (and all rubber sealed items for that matter) was very hard to close at first bur after a year being closed it is almost perfect!....And looks like it will never leak! Also the item should last longer than the OEM did; Just don't force closed the trunk by slamming down on the emblem or pot metal. Remember it is breakable.
I am very glad for Gary Goers products and his research into making our cars better yet similar to what they were.

My experience with Goers' trunk weatherstrip, at least as it applies to
57-9, is that it is too dense and too thick. Had a tough time with my 58
Plymouth and ended up not using it. What worked for me was 70-72 GM A-body
weatherstrip. Trunk lid now closes perfectly. Not sure if the profile is the
same for 60-62, however.
