I ran across this "genuine" MOPAR Southwind Gasoline powered heater taken off of a 56 Imperial on E-Pay. See: 1956 Mopar Chrysler 300 Imperial SOUTHWIND GAS HEATER Stewart Warner Model 747 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem <http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150845752799&ssPageN ame=ADME:B:FSEL:US:1123> &item=150845752799&ssPageName=ADME:B:FSEL:US:1123 I have no interest in such an item and I don't know anything about it. I suspect that it might not even fit a 4 barrel carb or manifold. It was probably fitted to a single 2 barrel carb on the Imperial, if there was such a thing. It would (no doubt) interfere with the wonderful stock air cleaners on a 300 but I just don't know. I have never heard of such a thing for Mopars. Maybe one of the members that has an Imperial might be interested. Just that extra "option" that no one else has. All I do know is that the old Southwind heaters on the early Fords worked like a blowtorch (pun not intended but maybe appropriate).
