Oh Martin Swig....I place him along side Herzog as heros of gearheads.  I attended two of his California Historical Motoring Tours, one of his Double 500s (I have photos of my entry, a Cordoba with racing stripes, a roll cage of plastic pipe and an endorsement from The Corintian Leather Co, a Petty Concern.  It was a DNF after losing 9 quarts of atf and having to be towed to Newark.  I did save his ass by fixing his Alfa using parts from my 300L and a piece of ball point pen to allow him to finish an event.  I bought the last car his dealership ever sold, a Saab, and then his last, last car, the shop truck months later, a Voyager mini-van..  
Like Hertog, the world will see very few like him and them.
