Hi Folks. I need your Help. It finally happened. I'm having a problem with my survivor H. What the heck, can't anything last for a measly 50 years anymore??? All kidding aside, I'm leaking coolant onto my passenger mat (fortunately not the carpet). As the non-mechanic I am, I first assumed the heater core went bad. So I removed the heater core, had it rebuilt and I re-installed it, and darn it, it's still leaking. I always thought that coolant on the passenger floor meant a shot heater core. But on my H, I happen to have another set of hoses going into the firewall. My mechanic-friend says it goes to a 'water valve'? I looked in the service manual and the only indication I see (in chapter 1 under heater) is that these hoses are labeled water valve input and water valve output. So here are my questions for you experts: What do you think my problem is? Do I have a bad water valve? Are these things still available? How hard is it to replace/fix? I want to Thank you guys in advance for your help.
