[Chrysler300] 300 D serial number

We are new to Club, attended the May meet in Tenn.  We own a 300D and  
would like to know the history of this car.
Our family had purchased it  in  1959 or 1960.  Can anyone tell me if  
car can be traced to original owner. Perhaps via VIN number?
