Mike: I've seen some posts online that suggest the letter defines the month (A=January, L=December & etc). The trailing digit is the last letter of the year. Most 3505S carbs were probably made in 1962-1964, ergo 2, 3 or 4. If you end up with a surplus pair of 3505S carbs and air cleaners, let me know. I can't be too picky on date codes as I try to return the intake system on my K parts car to 1964 spec's. Picture attached. Are you just looking at the brass tags or at other casting numbers on the carbs? I'm sorting through a pair of carter 3505's trying to figure out which set is original to my car. Can someone tell me how to decipher the date codes?
