I find that the 1964 300K ram coupe parts car I purchased for its engine does have the proper engine, short ram intake manifolds and air cleaners. It also has a pair of Carter AFB 2903S carbs on it which I understand were installed on the standard long-ram engines in the 1960 and 1961 Chrysler 300's. While I'm pretty sure these lightly-oxidized carbs could be rebuilt and function just fine, I'd rather equip our fairly rare 300K ram convertible with factory a/c with the proper carbs. So-does anyone own or have a line on a pair of 3505S carbs that I might buy? The 3505S carbs are standard on the 1963 and 1964 ram-engined Chrysler 300J's & K's. They might have other application, such as on short-ram engines in other MoPars. If I find the 3505's, the 2903's may be for sale, depending on whether I work a swap. If you need the 2903's, let me know. They appear to be undamaged and only surface oxidized-not broken or crusty-and complete except for the hot well-operated automatic choke components. My car has the proper (for '63 & '64) manual choke cables attached to the 2903's. Any opinion on the relative scarcity/value of 3505 carbs vs. 2903's would be appreciated. Also any opinion or experience with running 2903S'carbs on short-ram engines. Thanks for checking your storage shelves.
