Does anyone know if you can install a 1962 or later Hi Torque starter motor on a 1961 300-G. I can't seem to find any rebuilt starter motors for the 61 Chrysler any more. And the later Hi Torque starter is better. The problem that I know of with this is that the 61 starter motor has a threaded hole for the upper mounting bolt and the later model Hi Torque just has a hole in it. Has anyone done this before. I know if worst comes to worst I can send my starter motor to a motor repair shop and get it rewound. ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
