I strongly agree with Bob and Don. Strange that someone went to all this trouble yet left the engine compartment unrestored and dirty. About all they did under the hood was to paint the air cleaners and the rams. And like Don I'm wondering what that goofy green gizmo is? Some kind of aftermarket electronic ignition?? IMHO, cars like this one tend to get flipped around through auctions and dealers in search of quick and easy profit, sadly. That said, it still looks fabulous, at least in pictures. As mentioned, the wire wheels are simply not correct, but I would excuse that if the car came with the original wheels and wheel covers-which are getting increasingly hard to find. Notice that there is only one picture of the engine compartment. Many details are not correct. No hood pad, no trunk lid felt liner, no picture of Trim Code plate. Only 12 made with AC? I know the numbers are low, but that sounds like a guess to me, and not based on factual information. I researched this several years back and was not able to come up with a definitive number. I had three G project cars, all had factory AC, I doubt that I had 25% of G production with AC in my back yard. The body and interior work does appear to be pretty well done though, but the devil is in the details now isn't it? Wire wheels are not and were never optional on a G. The engine compartment is a mess of things wrong. Red heater hoses? That shows a complete lack of research on what is correct. Hose clamps are all worm style, blue ignition wires, and what is the green thing by the washer bag? Two of the dash gages are also 62 style. If I had the money to buy something this expensive, I would at least want everything to be correct. But maybe that's just me, maybe pretty is all that matters. Don Verity 300-G consultant.
