RE: [Chrysler300] Dual Master Cylinder Conversion

Hi Bill

I have finished doing the conversion to my 300C with a 69 Dodge master
cylinder. It is a bolt up job including push rod. As it is for drum
brakes, it comes with residual valves. Bore is slightly smaller giving a
bit more pressure. Not sure which one you are talking about. Mine has a
flat bolt down top which clears the bellows but the spark plug wire covers
need major modifications to clear. Imagine the rectangular cross section of
the cover cut off and re-shaped to a triangle cross section for the last
three inches or so. Also had to remove the rear cover screw. Sounds bad
but it looks neat now. I can send a photo if you like.

Regards

Henry

Am thinking to convert the single to dual master cylinder on the 300D.
Anyone know if there would be interference problems with the valve
covers? I have the bellows brake booster, will the spring lid holder
on the bubble top of the master cylinder be a problem? Will the
Master Cylinder just bolt in place of the old one? I would presume
the push rod would need adjustment? Is an external residual
pressure valve necessary?
