Hi, George:

According to the service manuals for '58 and '59, #1004 is somewhat brighter than the #90. In the '59, the 1004 is used for the dome light and the map light, while the #90 is used for the hand brake warning light. No specs are given for the rear courtesy lights on the convertible model. It appears to me the choice is the 1004 bulb.

Happy New Year... Does anyone know the correct light bulb for the REAR courtesy lights on a 57-59 300 convertible?? Any help would be appreciated.
