Regarding the Mopars used as Indy Pace Cars, I have to put my two cents in to point out an inaccuracy on the linked page: the 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible actually used in the race was NOT a 383 cid V-8 as listed here. Plymouth did make and sell to the public a good number (several thousand?) "Indy Pace Car Replicas" in 1965 which were 383-powered (with torqueflite trannies), but the car that paced the race (which Scot Jim Clark won) was powered by a 365 hp, 426 cid "street wedge", with a four-speed transmission. Likewise, the photo shown on the page link is not the actual 1965 pace car, but a replica. 300F'ly, Roger Karlson [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
