If your case number is not correct any decent transmission builder would know how to modify yours to perform like the H transmission. The F fluid has been used in performance 727 transmissions for decades. Old Chrysler performance manuals recommended Type F Ford fluid. Better friction coefficient and slightly higher temperature life than Dexron. The late George Riehl wrote a nice article about the letter car transmissions many years ago in the NewsFlite. The '62 H transmission was p/n 2205190. RCM - perhaps we should scan the article and create a web page for the tech dept? I have an original copy. I'm not sure what is different - guess the H 727 would be considered "heavy duty". My Chrysler interchange manual lists #1942275 for 62 Chrysler except 300 with 413 and #2205190 for 62 Chrysler 300 with 413. I don't know if "300" just meant 300H or applied to Sports with a 413's as well. I assume a Sport with a 383 would not have the # 2205190 torquflite .
